Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal 12 Jan 1916 p 8

This morning at 10 o'clock the coincidence of two funerals being held at the same hour is worthy of mention especially as the dead men were cousins. One was Albert Eshelman who was cut to pieces by a switch engine at Logansport Monday evening and the other Otis Eshelman, who died suddenly of pneumonia in Birmingham, Ala on Monday. Both of them used to be citizens of this city the former was married and the latter unmarried. The funeral of Albert Eshelman was conducted at Trinity Church by Rev. TP Woodson, pastor of the church. His body arrived here this morning from Logansport via the Vandalia at 9:23 and was met by Perry Harwood, funeral director and was taken directly to the church where the services were held. THe interment was made at Mt. Pleasant cemetery 7 miles north of this city. The funeral of Otis Eshelman was held at the home of his mother, Mrs. Rose Eshelman, S. Walnut Street and was conducted by Rev. Walter Mansell, pastor of the Christian Church. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery.
